The Burden
Hmmm maybe it's because I just turned 50 but I seem to be surrounded by funerals.
After my nephew Bryan passed away, a good friend of mine in Montreal lost her mom. We dodged the snow storm that weekend to go up for the funeral.
After that, Jean from Rotary lost her sister and Fred from Rotary lost his dad.
Lloyd my most active mentor for robotics lost his wife on March 10.
The Harvey's are having a life celebration for Don on April 15 after he passed away last November. Don's passing was also coupled with the lost of my wife's childhood nanny in Trinidad at about the same time.
A couple of former ACI students also passed on. One had a long battle with cancer and the death notice appeared just above Bryan in the Toronto Star. The other I didn't really know but my daughter did.
8 in 5 months. Dave said they had 17 in 14 months. I hope I'm not setting any record.
